Later, guaracha took on a style of its own in Puerto Rico and became part of other Puerto Rican customs, such as the sung rosaries, the baquiné, Christmas music and children’s songs.Its modern, jazzy, salsa style was typified by Cortijo y su Combo, Ismael Rivera and Myrta Silva, a singer of La Sonora Matancera.

    lo que mas me gusta de la musica de willie esos coros con mujeres. pero en esta cancion no se oye bien….. guaracha que me lleva unos años atras cuando la salsa entro ami barrio despues de estar dormida y que nos sacudio para conocer el fenomeno de la sasa y que ya es inparable… viva yomo

    a base de música cubana, puertorriqueña y criolla…pero efectivamente, para la música de la zona del caribe y posteriormente, la que surgió en algunos barrios de NY debido a la migración, se le llamó “salsa”
