David Cook – A Hero at The Race for Hope in Washington DC 5/3/09
David Cook visiting with cancer survivors at the 12th Annual Race for Hope for brain cancer research in Washington DC on May 3, 2009. He was amazing. He ran the whole thing in 28 minutes. I caught some video of him visiting with the cancer survivors and their families, leading the survivors at the start line and running. I have his whole speech on video but we’ve all seen it plus I didn’t want to focus on that. My main goal was to capture his selflessness and his courage. And to show what a great event it is for EVERYONE. 2 million total raised? INCREDIBLE. His team raised over $100000! I am so proud to have been a part of it. Even if we did get REALLY SOAKED.
Must have been very hard for him to be there the day after he lost his brother Adam to a brain tumor. He put on a brave face and was still a huge inspiration to others. Thanks to CS for wording help…:) Honors (because he is being shown tons of love!): 5/6/09 #90 – Most Discussed (Today) – Music #36 – Top Favorited (Today) – Music #76 – Top Rated (Today) – Music
