It is no myth.

Men who ejaculate most frequently have the lowest levels of problems with their prostate. Men with the highest frequency of prostate problems are the ones who ejaculate least, or not at all.

Natural Supplements For Prostate Health

Article by Dean Iggo

Each year thousands of men are treated for inflamed prostates, in most cases those cases of prostatitis could have been prevented with the help of supplements for prostate health. A healthy prostate is of the utmost importance. Men suffering from prostatitis often suffer from sexual dysfunction, difficulty urinating and even chronic abdominal and back pain. Prostate health should be important not only to elderly men, but also those as young their 40s. In order to encourage a health prostate, much consideration should be given to supplements for prostate health.

The first step to a healthy prostate should be one’s dietary habits. Recent research has shown that the foods we eat have a strong impact on prostate health. Afflictions of the prostate are most commonly found in developed countries whose dietary habits focus on red meat and dairy products. Contrast that with a country whose diet focuses on fruit and vegetables and it is easy to see that natural foods can encourage a healthy prostate. A diet with significantly higher amounts of calcium will also lead to increased chances of developing prostatitis. Foods with tomatoes, pink grapefruits and even watermelons are rich in Lycopene, which is an antioxidant. Lycopene and nutrients like zinc and selenium are available in supplements for prostate health. A deficiency of vitamins like vitamins D and E can also lead to an increased chance of developing an enlarged prostate. Herbal remedies have long been found effective as supplements for prostate health.

In countries like the United States herbal supplements are often regulated to “dietary supplement” status, meaning many will not discover the incredible benefits that an herbal supplement may provide. In some cases, herbs are more effective then the most popular brands of prostate medications available. Much care should be taken to completely research any herbal regiment. Make no mistake, herbs are as powerful and in some cases are more powerful then prescription medication. Look for any supplemental information available on herbal remedies, prior to including them as supplements for prostate health.

Simple Steps for Prostate Health

Article by John Davids

A healthy prostate is something that should be of concern to all men, not just those over 45 years of age. A healthy prostate is essential for proper sexual functioning and reproduction, providing 25 to 30 of the seminal fluid – this in itself should be reason enough for all men to take the health of their prostate seriously. For men aged 45 and above, having a healthy prostate takes on even greater significance due to the fact that prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in men of this age group.

Each year, thousands of men are treated for inflammation of the prostate gland or prostatitis. Around 95% of the cases of prostatitis are non-bacterial and may well have been avoided with the aid of a good diet and some beneficial supplementation. Prostates often enlarge as men age and this can have an adverse effect on urination. This condition is known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and is typically indicated by the need to go to the toilet often (frequency) or taking a while to get started (hesitancy). As the prostate enlarges, it may press on the urethra and impede the flow of urine to such an extent that urination becomes difficult, possibly painful and in extreme cases almost impossible.

The other major concern of course is prostate cancer, whose symptoms can be similar to those for prostatitis and BPH and can also include blood in urine or semen, painful ejaculation and constant pain in the lower back, pelvis or upper thighs. This is why from the age of 45 or even younger if preferred, it is recommended that all males have an annual blood test that includes a measurement of prostate specific antigen (PSA) as a guide to the likelihood of prostate cancer.

These days we know a lot more about the effect that healthy eating and supplementation can have on maintaining the health of our organs (and glands) at peak levels well into our later years. A healthy diet based around vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean meats together with proper vitamin and herbal supplementation can have a beneficial effect on the health of the prostate gland.

For many years people have found a variety of herbal remedies or supplements to be beneficial in maintaining prostate health, in particular Saw Palmetto (serenoa serrulata), Stinging Nettle (urtica dioica) and small-leafed Willow(epilobium parviflorum). So if you are looking for the best supplements to support good prostate health, then look for one that combines all three of these ingredients.

Bear in mind that supplements for prostate health are not cures, they are herbs and nutrients that may help to improve a man’s prostate health and help lower the chances of developing prostate-related conditions such as prostatitis, BHP and even cancer. Supplements and foods rich in antioxidants (vitamin E and selenium) have also been shown to help control cell damage and may assist in preventing prostate cancer.

Prostata: An Alternative Health Product to Improve Prostate Health

Article by Chris Robertson

If you or someone you love has an enlarged prostate, an alternative health product called Prostata can help. It contains a blend of vitamins, minerals and herbs that are proven to be beneficial for prostate disorders.

What is Enlarged Prostate?

It’s important to understand what an enlarged prostate is and that you are not alone. Most men realize they may have an enlarged prostate when they begin to urinate more frequently or if they have difficulty starting to urinate. There may also be issues with dribbling or leaking. It is the most common prostate health concern for men over the age of 50, and more than half of men have an enlarged prostate by age 60, according to the American Urological Association (AUA).

The medical term for enlarged prostate is benign prostate hyperplasia, or BPH. It is called “benign” because it is a noncancerous blockage in the prostate that slows or prevents the flow of urine through the urethra. Prostate cells will multiply and create an enlargement. This places pressure on the urethra as it becomes narrower. Then the bladder has to use more force to push urine through. In time, the muscle of the bladder may become stronger and thicker, and may contract even when there are only small amounts of urine. Eventually, the bladder will not empty itself of all the urine, and this increases the risk for urinary tract infections.

Traditional treatment of an enlarged prostate includes medication, minor office procedures, and surgery. These are determined based on the severity of symptoms.

Natural Remedies

As with any health condition, there are natural remedies and herbs that can help improve prostate health. The alternative health product called Prostata provides all natural prostate support. It is a nutritional supplement containing amino acids, saw palmetto herb, selenium, lycopene, vitamin E, pumpkin seed extract, nettle root, pygeum africanum, zinc and copper. These all contribute to a healthier prostate in different ways. For example, nettle root benefits the urinary tract. Saw palmetto and amino acids support prostate structure and urinary function. Vitamin E promotes cellular health.

Combined, these substances can help decrease daytime and nighttime urinary frequency. They can help with urinary dribbling, stream flow, urinary delays, etc. If you are experiencing burning or pain during urination, Prostata can decrease these symptoms. It also helps with incontinence and may improve sexual behavior.

Prostata is easy to buy online; no prescription is needed since it is an all-natural alternative health product. There are no known side effects, and the capsules may easily be taken as a dietary supplement daily. Look for Prostata at an online store that offers nutritional supplements and herbs at an affordable price. Even if you don’t yet have symptoms of an enlarged prostate, you can start using Prostata early on to encourage good prostate health.

Q&A: Is having sex good for prostate health?

Question by Matthew B: Is having sex good for prostate health?
Quite a few of my friends have had prostate troubles over the last few years. I guess it’s our age (50′s). My wife and I both have mild mania disorder and consequently we’ve had sex a minimum of ten times a week and often a lot more when we’re on a roll for the last thirty five years. Meanwhile, I haven’t had the slightest hint of prostate difficulties, while my father, uncles and brothers have all suffered symptoms that either required drugs or surgery. Anyway, just asking.
