The countries like the United States are suffering with a number of death cases due to heart disease every year. The term of this disease has many types and segments that generally affect the heart. Some of the heart disease that are very common like heart disease due to high blood pressure, Coronary Heart Disease, Ischemic Heart Disease, Tachycardia, heart murmurs etc. The heart diseases like the vascular heart disease, colonial heart disease and others can be cured completely. The main cause of a heart disease is mental stress, high blood pressure or hypertension, high level of cholesterol, overweight and/or obesity and many cases the heart disease also occurs due to stress. The habit of excessive smoking or a heavy intake of alcohol is also a great reason of heart diseases. The occurrence of heart disease is also affected by gender and sex. It also occurs due to hereditary issues. In many cases, it has been observed that if in a family, one of the parents are suffering with any sort of heart disease, the children can also be affected. Nowadays, the occurrence of heart disease also has roots in the growing environmental changes and pollutions and other toxins. Many of the stressful situations help to increase the blood clotting in the heart and also lead to hypertension. Some of the sex hormones are also responsible for a heart disease. The PSA tests are done especially in case of a cancer in the prostrate in males. The PSA is actually a type of protein, which is known as Prostrate-specific antigen. Antigen is manufactured in the prostrate. The test actually measures the level of this type of protein in the human blood. Thus, this test is done by taking a blood sample. The PSA medically is also known as tumor marker or biological marker. The US Food and Drugs Administration or FDA also ahs approved the medical use of PSA test. In the test process, the physical experts take blood from the veins, usually from the elbows. Here, the medical experts first clean the place from where he is going to take the blood and the enfold the upper portion of the arm with a band, then he gives pressure on the affected part to let the veins swell with blood and then he takes a particular amount of blood from the body. The medical experts say that the test can be useful if done including a Digital rectal Exam or DRE, especially in case of a prostrate cancer in those patients who are either 50 years old or more than that. In the DRE test process, the medical experts verify the prostrate gland the rectal wall to check the blisters and other abnormal growths. The FDA has also approved that the PSA test also can be useful if a person has a case of re-occurrence of prostrate cancer.

The person who suffers with a high level of blood sugar is diagnosed with diabetes. The condition of diabetes can also interrupt in the functioning of other body parts. The reason of the various complications of diabetes has its roots in some of the other body functions and some of the medicinal affects on the body. It is very widespread in the United States. Many of the patients do not even know that have the sickness. This is a sickness where the human body faces problem to keep a balance between the sugars and is not able to use insulin in an adequate amount. The insulin is a type of hormone, which helps the body to convert the level of starches, sugar and many of the other food into energy to boost the other body cycles. If a person has an invariable level of high amount of glucose, it is been said that the person has diabetes. The diabetic person will also have difficulties in the functions of eyes, heart, feet and even on the liver and kidney. The diabetes Mellitus mainly cause the condition of diabetes. Are you a diabetic.

Article by www.online-reviewers.com

The following article on diabetes is appropriate for all, no matter what age.

Diabetes is a serious disease. But the startling truth is that diabetes is reversible.

Diabetes is the number one cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This disease is a

condition where the body is unable to automatically regulate blood glucose levels, resulting

in too much glucose (a sugar) in the blood. Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects as

many as 16 million Americans.

Diabetes is divided into two major groups. Type 1 diabetes is one of the most common

childhood diseases. Type 1 Diabetes is called Juvenile Diabetes as the onset of it begins in

childhood. Type 2 diabetes is most common form of diabetes, accounting for 90% of cases.

They concluded that most cases of type 2 diabetes is preventable by choosing a healthier

lifestyle. The problem, in a nutshell, is that type 2 diabetes is not a simple disease

caused by a single gene. The best way to control type 2 diabetes is with diet and exercise.

There has been a great deal of buzz about stem cell research and diabetes.

Type 2 Diabetes is more common than Type 1 Diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is a life-long disease

marked by high levels of sugar in the blood. Conditions associated with type 2 diabetes

include hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. Type 2 diabetes may account for about 90% to 95% of

all diagnosed cases of diabetes. Up to two-thirds of people with type 2 diabetes have no

symptoms. Obesity is the single most important risk factor for type 2 diabetes. An estimated

20% of all cases of new onset type 2 diabetes are in individuals between the ages of 9-19.

The more you know about type 2 diabetes, the more you’ll be able to take the right steps to

take control of your condition.

What is the relationship between insulin resistance and diabetes. Insulin resistance can

occur long before the onset of type 2 diabetes. Insulin resistance is an important marker of

diabetes risk. You can counter insulin resistance through modest weight loss and exercise.

It is now generally accepted that insulin resistance and ß-cell dysfunction are major

factors involved in the development of diabetes. Some scientists think a defect in specific

genes may cause insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes is a serious disease. Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness, renal failure,

and amputation in the United States. Diabetes is divided into two major groups. Type 1

diabetes is one of the most common childhood diseases. Type 2 diabetes is most common form

of diabetes, accounting for 90% of cases. Diabetes is a growing global problem of

devastating social and economic impact. But the startling truth is that diabetes is

reversible. The first step in managing diabetes is to commit yourself to the care of a

health professional.

Diabetic complications

Diabetic complications

Diabetic complications can and almost certainly WILL arise when you do not look after your condition properly, be it type1 or type 2 diabetes. Without a proper diabetic control you can suffer from these diabetic complications. If you take a good control of your blood glucose levels eat right and excercise, these complications of diabetes need not arise. Diabetic complications mainly arise when you do not monitor your blood glucose levels or let them run continuously high. If you disregard your glucose levels, then complications of diabetes will surely appear. By monitoring and eating properly, you can delay these complications, such as damage to your: *Eyes *Ears *Kidneys *Feet *Nerves *Heart *Blood vessels *Sexual function

Eyes – What happens to my eyes and diabetes? Diabetics risk the eye complication called diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy affects the tiny blood vessels that supply your retina and can become leaky, blocked and grow abnormally. You need to avoid diabetic retinopathy as your sight is valuable and with diabetic retinopathy, you could lose your sight.

Keeping your blood glucose levels under control can reduce the risk, although blood pressure and blood fat levels will also affect this.

Each year it is advised to get your eyes screened. This is done by visiting your health centre for a short eye test, this is different from the usual optometrist test, as the screening involves having pictures taken with a digital camera to view the backs of your eyes and the consultant can see the small vessels and look for any problems such as diabetic retinopathy. Many opticians do this when dealing with their diabetic customers and is included with your eye test.

You may need to go and see the specialist at the hospital for them to investigate further. If diabetic retinopathy is diagnosed and bleeding is out of control, you may need laser treatment which will prevent any growth of abnormal blood vessels. Diabetic retinopathy laser treatment is different from the one that are widely advertised on T.V, as it cannot restore any vision loss.

Ears – It has been found that hearing loss affects more people who have diabetes than their counterparts. High blood glucose can affect the small vessels and nerves in the inner ear and can affect our hearing over time.

The Kidneys – Diabetes can affect the kidneys by damaging the small blood vessels which can become leaky or even stop working, this is called diabetic nephropathy. By keeping blood glucose levels at 4mmol/l or 72mg/dL and 6mmol/l or 108mg/dL before meals and 10mmol/I or 180mg/dL 2 hours after food can greatly reduce risks of kidney disease such as this diabetic nephropathy. You will be asked to bring a sample of urine (the first that you pass in the morning) to your annual check up. This is to test the urine for protein called microalbuminuria. If you have signs of microalbuminuria in the sample, the doctor is likely to prescribe medication called an ACE inhibitor in tablet form. This medication will help to prevent nephropathy from getting worse. If untreated, this could lead to kidney failure.

Feet/Nerves – The nerves carry messages from our brain to every part of our body, so we see, hear, smell and touch etc.

Diabetic neuropathy – A long term complication of diabetes is diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy is nerve damage that results from diabetic micro vascular disease and is increased if you have poor diabetes control. It particularly affects the feet and legs. You may feel numbness, pain or feelings of an altered sensation. This is why you should have your feet checked regularly by your chiropodist or Podiatrists. This type is known as ‘Sensory neuropathy’. It is said that around 15% of all diabetics will develop some sort of problems with their feet and legs at some time and some of these could be of a serious nature. If you do not care for your feet, then you have more chance of joining that 15% with diabetic neuropathy.

Autonomic neuropathy – This affects nerves that control our automatic activities, such as actions by the stomach, intestines, bladder and penis (Erectile dysfunction), and even the heart.

Hypoglycaemia

Hypoglycaemia or the ‘hypo’ is the most common of diabetic complications that a diabetic will come across at some time. Basically, hypoglycaemia appears when our blood glucose levels go just below 4mmol/l or 72 mg/dL, although this really depends on how controlled your blood glucose levels are. When my sugars have been out of whack, I have felt ‘hypo’ at around 6mmol/l or 108 mg/dl, Really! which is a good reason to test your blood with a meter if possible when you feel a little ‘odd’ to make sure that you really are ‘hypo’ but if you cannot, just treat as a ‘hypo’, as this needs to be treated as soon as possible. If left, you could become unconscious and will require a Clucagon injection to bring you round. If left untreated, you could risk having a diabetic coma. More can be read in the ‘Hypoglycaemia’ section.

Controlling and Preventing Diabetes and Diabetic Symptoms, Naturally.

Article by Vic Graham

In an awfully vital attempt in regulating and forbidding diabetes and the signs of diabetes several studies have disclosed 3 mechanisms which have for the most part benefited the balancing of glucose in the blood, thereby lessening the disproportion in glucose levels, and thus may also control the signs of diabetes, and other diabetic symptoms, or the cause of diabetes. As these levels get uniform the cause of diabetes or any diabetic symptoms are either structured or prevented.

The 3 mechanisms which have been detected to downgrade the fluctuations in blood glucose are (1) The slowing down of Carbohydrate Absorption. (2) The reduction of the Glycemic Index of food, and (3) Improving the Sensitivity of Insulin in the body.

1: Delaying The Absorption of Carbohydrates.

In order to delay the saturation of carbohayrates, the foods consumed must have a big measure of viscous soluble fiber. When this product or food with soluble fiber is consumed right ahead of a meal, the soluble fiber forms a gel-matrix in the digestive tract.

Thus as the gel-matrix is immediately in the system ahead of the meal, the saturation from the food from the meal is delayed and over time may reduce or avoid any signs of diabetes, other diabetic symptoms, signs of diabetes, or the originator of diabetes.

This delayed saturation happens because the soluble fiber matrix forms a slimy complex which engulfs the food, including carbohydrates and defends it from the digestive process.

Infact, the food, containing carbohydrates are lazily pulled along with the fiber matrix throughout the digestive tract forbidding all the food from doubtlessly being absorbed at the initial areas of the intestines. This process is essential in preventing the cause of diabetes, or any signs of diabetes.

owing to this detained saturation, there is little sugar (glucose) being absorbed at the same time, therefore providing an effective and reliable glucose level balance in the blood, and thus may boost in limiting the cause of diabetes, diabetic symptoms or any signs of diabetes.

But keep in mind that this does not mean that the complete amount of food or carbohydrates are not absorbed. This is just an compelling way in procrastinating the saturation over a longer period of time thus controlling and preventing too many highs and lows as food is ingested, thereby forbidding or controlling any signs of diabetes, or the cause of diabetes.

2: Reducing The Glycemic Index of Foods

Owing to the fact that all foods in particular contain distinct amounts of carbohydrates, the ingestion of distinct foods may have different effects on blood sugar (glucose) levels, consequently affecting any signs of diabetes, diabetic symptoms and the cause of diabetes. Not to mention that there are also distinct kinds of carbohydrates in foods, consequently complicating the action of digestion and absorption and that may act on glucose levels and in some way signs of diabetes, or the consequence of diabetes.

As a result of the circumstance that some carbohydrates are much easier to be digested by enzymes in the digestive tract than others, and that some carbohydrates in foods are more susceptible to digestion in the stomach, this provides the need for an effective index to measure the results on our blood glucose levels of food, in an endeavor to avert the consequence of diabetes, any signs of diabetes, or diabetic symptoms requiring the need for a Glycemic index of Foods.

The Glycemic index of foods in reality describes the glucose result of a specific food. The Glycemic index of pure glucose is 100, which is the greatest number to be found. This is so because pure glucose has the fastest and best absorption rate in the digestive tract, and can be greatly important in governing the signs of diabetes, or the cause of diabetes.

The greater the Glycemic index of any food, it’s the more excellent the effect of that particular food on glucose values and the rise of blood, energy and possibly cause of diabetes. Accordingly the desire to completely appreciate and be knowledgeable of the Glycemic index of foods in its duty in prohibiting diabetes, the cause of diabetes, or any diabetic symptoms.

Because foods with a greater Glycemic index raises the blood glucose level, folks who chooses to lose weight or to prevent any signs of diabetes are earnestly looking to eat only foods with a low Glycemic index.

Low (G.I) means a decreased supply of glucose in the blood, consequently creating less energy for the cells to eat up, resulting in perhaps weight stabalization, weight loss or even limiting diabetic symptoms, signs of diabetes or the cause of diabetes.

Various studies has depicted that Soluble Fiber decreases the Glycemic index of foods, using a mechanism which safe guards the digestive enzymes in the gut, in an endeavor to stabilize glucose levels which may prevent signs of diabetes, or the cause of diabetes.

When soluble fiber is taken prior to a meal it forms a defensive envelope around the food. This defensive envelope reduces the capability of the enzymes to charge the carbohydrates in the food, thus lessening the digestive mode of carbohydrates. And as this is done the method may also build a treatment limiting diabetes or the signs of diabetes.

3: Improving The Sensivity For Insulin.

When glucose balance is improved, the sensitivity of all cells to the hormone insulin also enhances. This is awfully important because insulin is the hormone which opens the doors in all cells to permit glucose to go in, in an attempt to provide fuel for the formulation of energy. Once this method is inadequate or out of equilibrium, diabetic symptoms, signs of diabetes or the cause of diabetes can occur.

Several studies have exhibited that the absence of the trace mineral chromium is associated to signs of diabetes, and other diabetic symptoms, as chromium helps the fastening of insulin. Whereas this mineral can be found in a number of daily foods, it is very complex to be absorbed. Some estimates that less than 2 percent of ingested chromium is literally absorbed in to the blood stream.

Once absorbed after all, this trace mineral is distributed all through the bodily tissues, and it binds to certified biomolecules which creates the effects of all activated insulin receptors much more defined and adapted and may avoid the cause of diabetes.

Even though without the presence of chromium, insulin works quite well, by having an acceptable supply of chromium as a normal quantity increases the action of the binding of insulin. And as this binding is enhanced so too is preventing any signs of diabetes.

There are two types of chromium on the market today. Chromium chloride, which is cheapo and has an absorption count of only 0.4 percent. Then there is Chromium Polinicotinate, which is an authorized form of chromium which has the proficiency to exceedingly augment absorption, and is known to help prevent the signs of diabetes.

Studies have shown that this kind of chromium, chromium polinicotinate, when absorbed in its natural type is absorbed six time greater than chromium chloride, and may block diabetes or the signs of diabetes.

Even though this may not be such a huge change on a weight basis, all the same, the identical supply of this trace mineral will have a much larger and tremendously enhanced effect when used in its authorized type to manage or to prevent any signs of diabetes.
