When someone says that they have arthritis, one immediately thinks of them having painful, stiff joints. Arthritis has become such a common disease that everybody knows at least a little about them, and most probably knows someone who has arthritis.

Because of the prevalence of the disease, a wide variety of arthritis cures have become available to treat the different forms of arthritis. While these arthritis cures are not able to actually cure or remove the disease, they are able to relieve the symptoms of pain, inflammation and stiffness, in order to allow those affected by arthritis to live normal lives.

Arthritis cures come in many forms. The most common form most people are aware of are conventional medications. These include painkillers or analgesics to relive the pain of arthritis, as well as anti-inflammatory drugs for the varieties of arthritis that result in inflamed joints. These may be prescribed by doctors and medical professionals for arthritis that has not progressed very far.

If the joints have degenerated to a degree that the joint no longer functions, treatments such as physical therapy may be prescribed to return function and mobility. More extreme cases may even require replacement of the affected joints through surgery.

Aside from conventional treatments, there are also alternative arthritis cures.
