What’s wrong with normal sugar? Why do we have to use a mutant plant filled with toxins?

@taylorbortnerathing As farmers and food processors we have made it olur goal to feed and fuel the world. We have done this buy making safe and affordable food but there are still some people that have a food allergy to a certain food which is unavoidable no matter what we do. The food industry is often difficult to make a profit in farming and processing. Food is far safer and healthier when the nutrition label is followed.

I have a friend with Crones disease. This person can not digest corn or any of it’s by- products. No one can! Even corn on the cob, if anyone’s interested, frequently comes out–undigested. Stay healthy. Stay away from goods containing this stuff. Corn starch, hi fructose corn syrup, corn meal, etc., etc! Read the product list! Some manufacturers are actually stating on the outside–in large letters, “NO HI-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP”. Your health-life may depend on it.

i meant to say “dangerous food that we eat”

    sorry it’s late

  5. taylorbortnerathing Says:

@steer1300 oh ok i see i was reading the wrong comment

the difference here is that the automotive industry isn’t generally producing defective material, whereas we have tons of food featuring bogus health claims, food that treats animals inhumanely during the process of making it, and food that generally isn’t safe for us to eat. the reason that this is allowed is because the greedy and selfish people who make the food we dangerous eat are also the people monitoring its production.

  6. steer1300 Says:

@taylorbortnerathing Well you were making a big deal about the fact that the companies that make a product generally are the ones who test the product. I was just saying that agricultural business’ are not the only ones to test their own product.

  7. taylorbortnerathing Says:

@steer1300 i never said it’s not ok for scientists to test their products. i don’t know where your argument is coming from

  8. steer1300 Says:

@taylorbortnerathing If its not ok for the scientists that develop genetics to test there own product then why is it ok for the automotive industry to test their own vehicles, or the developers of Tylanol to test it there selves. The FDA, EPA, and USDA set cetain guidlines that a new genetic or chemical has to pass and after the results of the test are reviewed. The reputation of thecompanies depends on the safety and effectiveness of a new product. Thats the Truth

  9. taylorbortnerathing Says:

@steer1300 they’re tested by the same companies that make them and by people who really just don’t care that much

  10. taylorbortnerathing Says:

@switcheezy i think it’s because people rely on god to fix their problems and think that somehow those people will be punished for their actions
i dont want this to turn into a religious debate, but whether or not god exists, we are still responsible for taking a stance on what is right and wrong and bringing about change based upon intelligent and researched information. we all have to learn to give a shit about what is going on

  11. ClosedProductions Says:

@frommootoyou Okay so if your dog started eating anti-freeze you wouldn’t stop the animal? You’d say he could eat whatever he liked?

  12. ClosedProductions Says:

@steer1300 Actually you can blame the food you eat when it is the only food available. Since High fructose corn syrup is extremely cheap it is bought by almost every company making it hard to choose a product without the syrup. Also, it isn’t only prevalent in junk food but also breads, meats and other every day foods that might be considered healthy or part of an average diet.

  13. steer1300 Says:

@switcheezy What the are you talking about

  14. switcheezy Says:

why is everything in this world a lie? everything is a cover up and deciet from the government for fucking control and its fukin driving me crazy that this bullshit planet is so corrupt and wrong….why??????

  15. steer1300 Says:

@shaw557 Any new genetic or pesticide has to be tested for possible effects on the environment and human health. Do you think that the genetics are released the day after development? There not, some go through as many as 10 years of testing.

  16. shaw557 Says:

@steer1300 Fda testing is based on voluntary guidelines.
It is not conducted by the FDA nor is it required

  17. steer1300 Says:

@shaw557 Corn varieties are tested by the USDA before they are allowed into the food chain unless it is similar to an already existing hybrid.

  18. shaw557 Says:

@shaw557 I love the commercials that say fine in moderation.
The problem is you cant eat it in moderation anymore, it is in everything.
For fun, take a night and pull every item in your pantry, fridge, cabinets etc.. and place it on a table.. You will be shocked at how much is on the table, and how little is left.

  19. shaw557 Says:

@steer1300 – The FDA does not require food made from GMO prodcuts to be tested, or labeled.

    thanks 4 the postage

  24. scannapiecopaul Says:

for what? making a product you demand for a cheaper price that already had sugar in it before you watch a cute documentary.

    @steer1300

Man we have to blame the food in America and its making us fat fast. Look at people in Southern and Eastern Europe. Those people are all thin, and have very small number of people who die of heart failure and diabetes. I say we stick together, and do what we do best. We should sue the bastards.
