@jullpete Hey! Thank you so much for watching. I know, I remember going to the doctor and saying it was my metabolism and he told me that it was a SMALL bit genetics (my family is HUGE) but the rest was my poor eating choices…

@cashpath could not agree more….it depends on each and everyone metabolism. it depends on the current level of activity and on how healthy the pancreas is.

between eating and exercising. by exercising I mean Cardio + Body Strength.

Damion…how does the food go out…could you be more specific?
lol
I must disagree with you.
How about those people who eat huge amounts of foods, crappy ones, and are still thin?
As far as I go…indeed…my weight depends on the quality of the foods I am having.
It also depends on the amount of muscles I gain /lose thru the different weight loss process.
I think the perfect life style for a man/woman with weight issues, happens the moment they find the balance

I’ll be honest..I’ve always thought I had a slow metabolism. But maybe I don’t…

great video as always Damion. This is why I love watching your videos.

@cashpath COULD not agree with you more. As a former diabetic, I know the sugar rush that comes with the hills and valleys of rising and falling insulin levels. Maybe you can help me present that information in a way that doesn’t make sugar look bad. I was going to make the comment that some people take months to buy a car but wont spend a third of that time seeing what works for their bodies, they want an immediate answer and unfortunately that results in a lot of wasted time and money.

@Shaun2382 thanks! i think I didn’t include the temporary way to increase rate (even though I should have) because its something I couldn’t find solid research on but thank you so much, I will be making a shoutout to you in my next video!

lol that last part of the video, i thought you had some lke fake ears or something, then i realized it was just your curtain

@cashpath This is the principle behind the “Metabolic Typing Diet.”
May 7th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
@cashpath i agree on the insulin and blood sugar levels as well as the KEY is knowing how YOUR body reacts to different types of food and what works for YOU.

good video but you got it backwards. basal metabolic rate is the amount of energy your body uses just to stay alive and Thermo-genesis, (thermo = heat and genesis = creation) which is a rise in your body temperature and a temporary way to increase the rate at which our body burn calories.

My Damion is so smart! did you have fun lying on the ground? I am a girl… and a complete weakling. but if I keep up with this P90x i better get a faster metabolism haha
I have noticed lately that by cutting out some of the sugars/carbs (no I am not low carbing… just less processed carbs and no more fancy coffees and diet sodas etc) My body is being alot nicer to me and my energy levels are more stable.

I was so hoping to blame getting older for my metabolism slowing down..lol.

I beleive insulin plays a key role in whether or not we get ‘fat’ and blood sugar levels have a lot to do with insulin levels. I REALLY like the last thing you said.. “Look to see what foods work best with OUR bodies” I think that is different for everyone. One person may need a lot of light foods… rice, pasta, veggies, fish. Where another may need heavy foods… cheeses, meats, beans etc. Each could work for one person and not for he other. Listen to your bodies people!!
