most people only need like 35 grams of protein per day. the FDA reccomend 50 grams and they have to take into account pregnant women and athletes. most people are getting at least 50 grams of protein. I’m a powerlifter and I have never worried about getting enough protein cause I know my regular diet gives me more than enough

  2. Mutatia Says:

    Pretentious vegans.

  3. Clauu91 Says:

“Even if we just ate broccoli only, nothing else, we’d get enough proteïn”

wahahahah, I’m sooo gonna use that line against all of those people who keep asking me if i get enough proteïn being vegetarian/vegan :’)

Balance diet is better for you plus people who have balance diet seem to look better and healthier.

I agree he failed to mention it specfically, However he did mention the key word, Variety. Im sure you know because you mentioned it, that eating a combo of foods is what is need to acheive the complete chain, example beans and rice.
The hope is that someone turning vegan has researched enough to know about the complete chain of amino acids and whichs food works as a combo to obtaining the chain.

I have seen very so many vegetarians who lack proteins, they look really sick. They know this stuff too, but they really do not know how to supplement their bodies that very well. Although I have met some Grand Master raw eaters , they still supplemented their bodies with herbs.

  7. SkyFoxCode Says:

@mjzraz read the next few pages in the comments, it’s been covered actually.

  8. mjzraz Says:

@SkyFoxCode What about incomplete and complete proteins does he need to mention? Are you talking about combining vegetable proteins? Why does it bug you?

  9. 2012stargirl Says:

@dubified89 lol.. Actually , on the raw vegan diet , your taste buds change, its like you can taste food 10 times enhanced.. also ones sense of smell, sight and hearing is enhanced as well..There are so many yummy raw food recipes out there.. I can make “mock raw “cheeze cake” out of fruit and nuts and it tastes just the same as a real cheese cake., but without the cheese.. There is So much u can do with fruits nuts and veges etc , dress them up , they taste great!..

  10. SkyFoxCode Says:

i hope you distinguish between incomplete and complete proteins with other people because you failed to mention it in the video. It’s very important, and it bugs the heck out of me when vegans fail to mention it in diet discussions.

  11. trevfrank Says:

@dubified89 no they’re too high in fat and extremely hard if not impossible to digest which is why u see little nuts in ur shit if u eat em.

  12. kimberlily1983 Says:

@dubified89 “Why do most vegans tend to be skinny though?” Vegans, as a group, do not tend to be skinny. We tend to be very close to the weight we should weigh. Veganism is very helpful in the fight against overweight (which is more of a risk in our society than underweight, in general). Perhaps you think vegans are skinny because you’ve become used to seeing people who are overweight and thinking that’s what’s normal.

  13. kimberlily1983 Says:

@dubified89 You replied to me, apparently, saying “What if no one bought veal though?” I’m not sure what comment this is in reference to, and I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make… A world where no one bought veal, dairy, other meats, eggs, etc. would be a better world indeed, one where these things were not sold and animals would not suffer at our hands nearly as much.

  14. dubified89 Says:

Good thing the government makes it illegal to produce so it costs a lot

  15. dubified89 Says:

Oh come on, taking vitamins is not ‘highly dangerous’. ‘!!!’ doesn’t make it true

  16. dubified89 Says:

OTOH the longest living cat in recorded history was fed a vegan diet. It lived to 27

  17. dubified89 Says:

    How bout hemp seed?

  18. dubified89 Says:

Aren’t nuts a good source of protein though?

  19. dubified89 Says:

Sounds like a hellish pleasureless life

  20. dubified89 Says:

Why do most vegans tend to be skinny though? They pop off about how they get full proteins but none of them look like it

  21. dubified89 Says:

What if no one bought veal though

  22. thejewel78 Says:

im not a vegam im a veggie i love animals i save 100 animals a year being a veggie

  23. pac0re Says:

@sehille4774 I am sorry but I believe you misunderstood the general idea of my question. I was not accusing you of anything… I was simply asking about the effects of having incomplete sources of protein as a vegan? I am sorry if I came across arrogant it was not my intention to. I did type the message very quickly and did not think it through well enough.

  24. namniekib Says:

    @sehille4774
1.The amino acid profile of most vegetables is not totally lacking in one amino acid or another as much as imbalanced.
2.Only 8 amino acids are essential to good health, not every single one.
3.The primary cause of not getting enough protein is getting far too much refined carbohydrates and fats.It doesn’t take much of those to create an imbalance.

  25. sehille4774 Says:

@pac0re Where did i ever suggest that you have to eat meat? Did you read my post at all?
